Angelina Jolie Is a Real Doll, Gushes Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp has been an Angelina Jolie fan for many years and always wanted to work with her. So when the two stars finally met for the first time last November to work on the romantic thriller The Tourist, Depp was extremely impressed. “So much has been written about Angie and Brad [Pitt],” says Johnny, 47. “They’re sort of the Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton of our era. I knew she was a big star, but I didn’t know what to expect.”
But, like Angelina’s Salt co-star Liev Schreiber, Depp was totally impressed by the gorgeous 35-year-old Oscar winner.
“I had never met Angelina before, but I found her to be a real treat, a real doll,” Johnny told Entertainment Weekly. “She is a nice woman, serious about what she does and loves her man and loves her kids. I was very impressed.”
‘ANGIE’S DEVASTATING BEAUTY IS HYPNOTIC’
Similarly, Oscar-winning German filmmaker Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, who directs The Tourist, had wanted to work with Angelina for years.
“Literally, she gets every single script that has a female role aged between eighteen and 40—every script,” Florian, 37, has said. “And she just follows her feeling, holds her own counsel. She’s probably the only global megastar that doesn’t even have an agent—she doesn’t even have a publicist.”
Henckel von Donnersmarck says Angelina’s mesmerizing beauty is so hypnotic you can’t help but stare and gaze whenever you’re in her presence.
The Tourist opens Dec. 10.

Rep Brushes Off Johnny Depp 'Injuries' As Fake
Johnny Depp's representative has laughed off rumours the actor has been injured filming the fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie after he was snapped sporting nasty cuts and bruises on his face during a night out in London.
The Hollywood star appeared to have sustained a bloody gash across his right eyebrow and a cross-shaped cut on his cheekbone when he stepped out with rocker pal Keith Richards in Mayfair on Wednesday night (15Sep10).
He was also seen sporting bruising on his jawline and grazed knuckles on his hands.
Pictures of his battered appearance sparked reports online that Depp had been working a little too hard at pulling off his own stunts as Captain Jack Sparrow for Disney's forthcoming action movie - but his spokesperson has dismissed the concern and insists the injuries were all fake.
His publicist Robin Baum tells Wenn, "He was in make-up from filming Pirates 4."

The 66-year-old, who was sporting a fetching pair of bright green shoes as he made his way out of C London - formerly known as Cipriani's - with his A-list pal, was even drafted into the role of Captain Jack's dad in Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End.
Teetotal Richards, who has been caring for wife Patti Hansen as she recovers from bladder cancer, has an autobiography called Life set for release on October 26.
Meanwhile, Depp has been hard at work on a documentary about the guitarist, though it has yet to be given a release date.
Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, also starring mum-to-be Penelope Cruz, is due for release next year.
The fourth instalment sees Captain Jack and Barbossa, played by Geoffrey Rush, embark on a quest to find the Fountain of Youth.
But they're soon confronted by Ian McShane's Blackbeard and Cruz's character Angelica, a mysterious woman from Sparrow’s past.

IGN takes a look at the creation of Tim Burton's White Rabbit
by Scott Collura January 27, 2010 - Disney is ramping up its promotion of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland with something it calls "Wonderland Wednesdays," where the studio is releasing new features and details about the film each week. And this Wednesday IGN has netted a cool collection of behind-the-scenes images from the film which detail the development and progression of the White Rabbit character as the artists created the perpetually tardy hare, from storyboard sketch to finished CGI rendering.
Here's the official take on the character, who is voiced by Michael Sheen in the film:
"TMCTWISP, THE WHITE RABBIT is always late, always in a hurry, always rushing about. Charged with finding Alice and bringing her back to Underland so that she can fulfill her destiny, he shows up at her garden party in an effort to lure her back down the rabbit hole. 'He's a warm character,' says Sheen, 'but, at the same time, he can be quite fussy and quite strict with Alice as well. He has an edge to him, a nervous energy, always feeling like he's behind time. Time is very important to him, but he's quite brave when called upon.'"

Once the character animation is completed, a high-res version of White Rabbit's performance is checked on a more detailed model called a pit render.

The performance approved, the Rabbit gets his fur and clothing. There are complex programs designed to make hair, fur and fabric move and behave as realistically as possible.

The final scene, which has all of the high-resolution elements including a furry and clothed Rabbit, his computer-generated surroundings, the matte painting background, the effects of moving leaves -- all lit and textured. Elements are combined by a compositor.
